We had a very powerful christ centered Easter celebrations with open Air meetings running from Thursday 5th - Monday 9th April 2007 in the Chesamis area. We celebrated this occassion with the daily preaching of the word and many souls came to Christ. Praise the Lord for the salvations.This area boarders mt. Elgon region which is being affected by tribal clashes right now and we had hundreds of people who have been displaced and rendered homeless due to in fighting and are camping at the market area. of course many of them gave their lives to christ as this was their only hope. In addition to rendering them homeless, over 140 people have died since this war begun in January this year.We as a church with my other friends here are planning to take some relief food and clothing there in a weeks time.
